HIGH
EFFICIENCY RESIDENTIAL GAS WATER HEATERS
Lochinvar offers a full line of high efficiency gas water heaters
for residential use. The advanced design provides combined high
efficiency, low stand-by loss with outstanding quality and
performance features. Combined with precision quality construction
and testing, they provide one of the best values available in a
residential water heater.
Construction begins with a high quality, triple tested tank. The
interior of the tank is lined with a specially formulated glass
lining and protected with a large magnesium tank saver. A special
flue baffle design increases recovery capacity and decreases wasteful
stack loss. Heat input is provided by a whisper quiet, high capacity
radial port burner providing efficient heat transfer to the stored
water. Recovery efficiencies of 76% are achieved. The entire heater
receives a thick blanket of non-CFC foam insulation with an 8.33
R-value to minimize stand-by loss and is finished with a steel jacket
and a beautiful acrylic enamel finish with contrasting trim. Control
is provided by an adjustable immersion thermostat/gas valve with an
automatic overheat safety device. All models meet or exceed the NAECA
and ASHRAE standards for energy efficiency.
We install models in capacities from
40 to 50 gallons. These Special
High Recovery models are offered in 40 and 50 gallon sizes for high
demand hot water applications. All models feature a new design dip
tube with provides 20% more hot water maximizing hot water draw from
the tank. The Energy Saver tall and short models combine to offer a
complete line of high quality and efficient residential gas water
heaters for every application. |

SYMPTOM - Your
hot water heater is dripping very slowly from somewhere below the

SYMPTOM - Your
hot water becomes cold and you press the reset button that is on the
hot water heater but it keeps going off and the water only seems to be
heating to a lukewarm temperature.

One or both
of the heating element housings, either one or both, may have corroded
to the point of allowing water to drip onto the element which shorts it
out. To fix this, you could replace the element( s) or replace the water
heater. The element (s) being replaced is much cheaper.
