Whether
you have given any thought to what the air quality in your home
or business is, it is a very important subject to think
about. Ignoring the quality of your indoor air could,
sometime in the future, possibly create serious health problems
for either your family or your employees!
Some
Indoor Air Pollution Facts according to the EPA . .
.

worse than outdoor air
-

pollution index, indoor air is worse to breathe than
the outdoor air

Help control the quality of air
in your home or business! Improving the air quality can
help prevent or lower some allergy symptoms. There are many
factors that can effect your air quality. Some of the
factors are radon, smoke (from either cigarette or wood burning
fumes), organics, chemicals and humidity. Installing
the proper air ventilation or air purifying system will help
keep you healthier.
Believe it or not, the EPA
states that you are more likely to get the highest radon
exposure in your own home than anywhere else! The reason
for that, people spend most of their time at home! Radon
does not have a color taste or smell, therefore it is difficult
to tell if it is present in your indoor environment. The
reason radon is so dangerous, it is a radioactive gas that can
cause cancer. You can read more about the danger of radon
at the EPA's Radon
Information web site.
Organics might be something you
may not have given much thought about, but they are very much
present in your Indoor Air! What is considered to
be organic? Among some of the culprits included in
household dust are: mites, animal dander, pollen, fungi
or mold spores, combustion byproducts from cooking or smoking
and the highest - particles of human skin!. These organics
posing a threat to your health, in many of these cases, these
organic substances can also create bad odors in your home or office!
